Book of Screams Book Club with Jeff Szpirglas (Grades 4-6)

Jeff Szpirglas is a teacher, author, and huge horror fan. Join him as he unpacks what makes for a great scary story with his latest anthology, Book of Screams (from Orca Book Publishing). He’ll go over his lifelong love of scary stories, including stints as a freelance writer at Rue Morgue Magazine, how he uses scary soundtrack music as a creative tool, and the importance of “going with your guts” when it comes to writing about what scares you.
Brain Power students will receive a copy of the book Book of Screams, snacks, drinks, and an opportunity for a book signing from Jeff with their registration fee!
For students grades 4 to 6.
