Visit Oakville\u2019s tourism ambassadors will be trading in the streets for the feeds in 2020 and going digital!<\/span><\/p>\n

Every year, we normally hire Ambassadors through the Canada Summer Jobs Program<\/a> to frequent Oakville\u2019s tourist areas and help visitors navigate local attractions, businesses and accommodations.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to flip this annual program on its head and bring our Ambassadors online.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Visit Oakville\u2019s new Digital Tourism Ambassadors will become personalities on our social media pages and website in an effort to show residents and regional travellers how to explore Oakville safely during COVID-19.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ambassadors will create digital content to highlight best practices while exploring Oakville during this time and show how local tourism stakeholders have adjusted their businesses to accommodate new safety practices.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tune in to our Instagram<\/a> page every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for a look at what our Ambassadors are doing around town and follow along with the hashtag #VisitOakville.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
