Patio season is not over! Now that the Town of Oakville\u2019s temporary patio program has been extended<\/a>, many patios across Oakville will remain open until December 31, 2020, and they are calling your name. I decided to try outdoor seating in November at The Cr\u00eape Kitchen<\/a> to see what dining outdoors in the colder weather was like, and I\u2019m going to share my experience with you all.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The Cr\u00eape Kitchen (Best Brunch Talk of the Town Award-winner<\/a>) is a family-owned restaurant that can be found near the corner of Dunn and Robinson Street. This Downtown Oakville<\/a> favourite not only serves delectable cr\u00eapes, but they also serve other delicious sweet or savoury breakfast, brunch and lunch items. Currently, The Cr\u00eape Kitchen has indoor and outdoor seating available for their customers. They also offer single-use blankets for their customers when it is chilly outside.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I ordered the dulce de leche and strawberry cr\u00eape and a cappuccino. They were delicious. The thin, French-styled pancake filled with sweet milk and fresh strawberries was to die for. The Cr\u00eape Kitchen\u2019s website promises great service and I can confirm that it is true.\u00a0 As soon as you enter this family-run restaurant you can feel the love and passion that they have for their customers and you can taste it in their food.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

My experience of dining outdoors in November was great. I went on a Friday afternoon for brunch and, to my surprise, the weather was perfect; not too cold and not too hot. The outdoor tables were appropriately distanced and I felt very comfortable. Whenever I entered the facility, I wore my mask and followed the social distancing markers on the floor. I arrived at the perfect time because once I was done, many people were waiting to indulge in the food at this local favourite. I suggest you take advantage of the extended patio program that is in place in Oakville this winter and visit some amazing restaurants like The Cr\u00eape Kitchen.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

If you are planning to dine outdoors in the future considers these tips:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Wear a mask when not seated: If you plan on going inside of the restaurant or walk-in between tables outside, it’s important to keep your mask on.<\/li>\n
  2. Bring hand-sanitizer and use it regularly: Although restaurants have strict cleaning guidelines it is best to be safe and sanitize your hands before and after you eat or touch any surfaces.<\/li>\n
  3. Maintain social distance: Before you dine outdoors, ensure that your seating is appropriately distanced from other customers. Likewise, when you are not seated, ensure that you are maintaining social distance from others.<\/li>\n
  4. Avoid touching your face: It is important to refrain from touching your face while you’re out at a restaurant<\/li>\n
  5. Follow Halton Region’s guidelines<\/a> when out and about in Oakville<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
