1. Oakville Museum Underground Railroad Tours<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Stop by the grounds of the Oakville Museum on your local stroll for a look through some of Oakville’s earliest Black history. The Museum’s front windows and grounds will be adorned with information from their exhibit, Freedom, Opportunity and Family: Oakville\u2019s Black History. <\/em>You can also tune in for themed Facebook Live activities and virtual Black History walking tours throughout the month to learn more about Oakville’s early African-American settlers and the town’s relationship with the Underground Railroad.<\/p>\n

2. Seika Boye Talk<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Explore art, race and culture at this Oakville Galleries event, where dance artist and scholar Seika Boye will reflect on Senga Nengudi\u2019s exhibition Hourglass <\/em>alongside her own research in Blackness, movement histories and the archive.<\/p>\n
