Whether you prefer to take a dip in the water or relax on the shore, there is something for everyone at Oakville\u2019s own <a href=\"https:\/\/visitoakville.com\/partner\/coronation-park\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Coronation Park<\/a>. I spent a great day out at this lakeside destination, so keep reading to learn about all this beautiful spot has to offer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before heading out to the beach be sure to pack these essential must have items. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Beach towel <\/li><li>Sunscreen <\/li><li>Water shoes<\/li><li>Snacks <\/li><li>Water bottle <\/li><li>Life jacket<\/li><li>Sunglasses <\/li><li>Hat <\/li><li>First aid <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/visitoakville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/4-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17055\" width=\"512\" height=\"384\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dev.zarrtech.net\/visitoakville\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/4-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/dev.zarrtech.net\/visitoakville\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/4-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dev.zarrtech.net\/visitoakville\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/4-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/dev.zarrtech.net\/visitoakville\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/4-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/dev.zarrtech.net\/visitoakville\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/4-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Coronation Park is located on Lakeshore Road west of Fourth Line and east of Third Line, right on the shores of Lake Ontario. This park is full of family-friendly amenities, such as a splash pad, playground structures, bathroom facilities and a beach volleyball court. There is also a lot of free parking and access to a beautiful rocky beach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I visited the park in the late afternoon with my mom, and there were already a few families playing at the playground and splash pad when we arrived. Others were having picnics on the grass or cooling off in the water. There was so much space available that it never felt overcrowded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/visitoakville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/5-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17053\" width=\"512\" height=\"384\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dev.zarrtech.net\/visitoakville\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/5-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/dev.zarrtech.net\/visitoakville\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/5-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dev.zarrtech.net\/visitoakville\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/5-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/dev.zarrtech.net\/visitoakville\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/5-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/dev.zarrtech.net\/visitoakville\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/5.jpg 2016w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The beach has some nice sandy areas where people could lounge by the water, but a good portion of the lakeside is filled with rock pebbles for those who love skipping stones. There were many children swimming and there were even a few people paddleboarding as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My mom and I found a spot on the sand and enjoyed the deep blues of Lake Ontario. We even spotted some boats on the water further out into the lake. After taking in the view, we walked a bit of the paved trail along the shoreline. It was nice to come out to a beach and enjoy a quiet afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/visitoakville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/6-1024x768.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17054\" width=\"512\" height=\"384\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dev.zarrtech.net\/visitoakville\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/6-1024x768.png 1024w, https:\/\/dev.zarrtech.net\/visitoakville\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/6-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/dev.zarrtech.net\/visitoakville\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/6-768x576.png 768w, https:\/\/dev.zarrtech.net\/visitoakville\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/6-1536x1152.png 1536w, https:\/\/dev.zarrtech.net\/visitoakville\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/6.png 2016w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A long day at the beach also means lunch on a patio in nearby <a href=\"https:\/\/visitoakville.com\/about-oakville\/neighbourhoods\/bronte-village\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bronte Village<\/a>. I recommend dinning at the <a href=\"https:\/\/bronteboathouse.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bronte Boathouse<\/a> to enjoy a great meal by the waterfront. Some of my other favorite lunch spots in Bronte include <a href=\"https:\/\/porvida.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Por Vida<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.laparisiennecreperie.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">La Parisienne Cr\u00eaperie<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thaisenses.ca\/foodticket\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Thai Senses<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, I had a great time at the beach at Coronation Park.
