Now that the town is lightly coated with the first couple of December snowfalls, it\u2019s time to start planning for the holiday season! And what better way to kick it off than with a visit to Kerr Village for their 27th annual Holiday Fest<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will take place today (December 3rd) and tomorrow (December 4th) in Westwood Park<\/a>, nestled centrally in Oakville\u2019s eclectic Kerr Village<\/a>. There will be a pop-up holiday artisan market and family-friendly live musical entertainment on both days to get everyone in the holiday spirit!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event is free but attendees must register here<\/a> to get a ticket to present upon entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the weekend, guests can enjoy musical performances from the Jim Cuddy Band, Freedom Train, AbbaMania, Night Fever and more! As a massive ABBA fan, very little fills me with more joy than imagining myself eating cookies and dancing to Lay All Your Love On Me<\/em> in the snow at a holiday market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitors can also enjoy a visit on Saturday afternoon with Santa, Mrs. Clause and his elves before they head back to the North Pole to prepare for the busy toy-making season. Rumour has it, beloved Disney characters Olaf and Elsa will also make an appearance on Saturday afternoon. After telling Santa your wish, make sure to stick around for the tree lighting ceremony at 4:30 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the Kerr Village BIA has been hosting this tree lighting event for 27 years, the event has found a new home in Westwood Park. A magnificent Christmas tree was planted a couple of years ago to be used as a Christmas beacon for years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
